Free VoIP Software

Looking for a Free VoIP Software provider?

"We need to provide
Free VoIP Software."
Let's face it: our kids are becoming more dependent on phones these days. We need to provide Free VoIP Software. As a parent, it is tough to decide how to meet the phone needs of your children. Most of the time now days the consensus is that you must buy them a cell phone to do this. But, cell phones are not the only answer. There are other options to consider for your teens, college students, or even your own home service.

What are my options?

"...cell phones are NOT
the only answer"
There is another option that parents can choose: VoIP. VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. Basically what it means is that it operates through your high-speed internet connection. Therefore if you have high-speed internet, you and your children are able to get phone service for local or long distance calling for much cheaper than a cell phone or home phone. Many plans are as low as 14.97 per month.

How does VoIP work?

Again, VoIP connects directly to your internet through the means of a VoIP router. Some VoIP companies charge for the router, but some of the better companies provide this router at no additional cost to you. The router normally is really small and light. It looks something like this:

With these phones, anyone can go anywhere around the world that has a high speed connection- whether it be at home, at school or college, a hotel, WHEREVER- and be able to call you without any annoying long-distance fees or roaming charges.

How much does it cost?

The cost varies between providers. Most plans hover between about $15-$30 per month. The important thing to remember though is thta price is not everything. There a lot of "cheaper" VoIP services out there, but you have to remember that if you are buying solely based on "cheaper", you get the first part of that word- CHEAP.Although VoIP is a less expensive and alternative service to cell-phones, traditional home phones, calling cards, etc., not all providers are the same. It is better to spend a few dollars more per month to get service from some of the top VoIP providers.
